Helping our clients build climate resilience

Climate change is now recognized as the major environmental challenge of the 21st century. It is a growing crisis with economic, health and safety, food production, security and other dimensions. Temperatures will rise and extreme weather events will become more intense and happen more frequent.

Increased heath, drought, insect outbreaks, declining water supplies, reduced agricultural yields, health impacts, flooding, erosion, decreased air quality, increased wildfires, inundation and increasing ocean acidity, these are all examples of the impact of climate change that is expected in the next decades.

Climate change will be expensive, by 2030 the impacts of climate change are projected to costs the global economy $700 billion annually according to the Climate Vulnerability Monitor. Companies that start anticipate and respond to these new and increasing risks or and adapting to change will gain a competitive advantage.

Our consulting team gives advice to private and public sector clients on how to make their projects, policies and assets resilient to climate change. Weather Impact understands the impacts of climate change on business and our consultancy and products strengthens strategic decisions, competitive advantage and global supply chains.

Each month we provide a Climate Bulletin. The bulletin gives a global and regional overview of last months’ climate. Temperature and precipitation hot spots are discussed and interesting weather events are highlighted. See an example for November 2016 here.
